Through daily sketches, I discovered art as a portal for processing complex emotions. “Alchemy” explores my journey of confronting and transforming my relationship with challenging feelings, inspired by early imagery from my sketch practice. What began as chaotic expressions I once deemed too messy for art have become profound representations of growth. Each piece conveys an aspect of my shift in understanding—finding peace within chaos, beauty within disorder, and wholeness within the ongoing cycles of self-discovery.
"Alchemy II: Beauty in Chaos," "Alchemy III: Evolution" and "Alchemy IV: Reverence" were accepted into the 33rd Annual Juried Exhibition at the Strathmore in North Bethesda, Maryland, and were on display at the Strathmore Mansion from January 25-March 1, 2025.
